SINOPSIS / SYNOPSIS

ESPAÑOL

Andrés, un reputado músico-rockero de mediana edad, retirado de los escenarios por su adicción a la heroína, conoce a una chica menor de edad en el momento que decide dejar de lado sus adicciones.
Alabama, la dulce, astuta y atractiva menor, cae en casa de Andrés en busca de su hermano, antiguo compañero de casa de Andrés. Al comunicarle al mismo que sus padres han fallecido, Andrés accede a hospedarla en su casa hasta encontrar una solución a su problema.

ENGLISH

Andres is a renowned middle-aged rock musician, retired from the stage due to his heroin addiction. He meets an underaged girl when he decides to get off drugs.
Alabama, the sweet, clever and attractive girl, arrives to Andres’ house looking for her brother, an Andres’ former house-mate. Alabama tells Andres her parents are deceased and he accepts host her at home till they find a solution to her problem.

JAVIER RUIZ (Madrid, ESPAÑA, 15/10/1975). Titulado como Op. Técnico de Sonido con especialización en Producción Musical. Inicia su carrera en Televisión en 1997, cambiando al año los micrófonos por las cámaras. Su pasión por la luz y contar historias hace que empiece a trabajar el género documental para diferentes producciones de TVE. En la última década ha trabajado en series de ficción como: “Águila Roja”, “B&B”, “El síndrome de Ulises”, “Los Serrano”, “Un paso adelante”, “Cuéntame cómo pasó”, etc. Como Director de Fotografía ha trabajado en los largometrajes: “Recambios” (Manu Fernández, 2003), “Amigos de Jesús” (Antonio M. de Mesa, 2006), “Sin cobertura” (Manu Fernández, 2011), y en numerosos videoclips. Como realizador, en reality shows de Tv : “Perdidos en la tribu”, “Perdidos en la ciudad”, “Billete a Brasil”, etc. El cortometraje “Astronautas” es su primera obra como guionista y director.

JAVIER RUIZ (Madrid, Spain. 15/10/1975). Degree in Sound Technician and specialised in Music Production. He started to work on television in 1997, one year later, he left the microphones for the cameras. His passion for the light and telling stories led him to work on documentaries for the Spanish public television: TVE. In the last decade he has worked in several Spanish series: “Red Eagle”, “B&B”, “Ulysses syndrome”, “The Serrano”, “A step forward”, “Tell me how it happened”, etc. As cinematographer he has worked in different films: “Parts” (Manu Fernández, 2003), “Friends of Jesus” (Antonio M. De Mesa, 2006), “No coverage” (Manu Fernández, 2001) and lots of music videos. As director, he has worked on television reality shows: “Lost in the Tribe”, “Lost in the city”, “Ticket to Brazil”, etc. Short film “Astronauts” is his first work as screenwriter and director.
